Our Christian and Theological Foundation
House of Pillars is rooted in the historic Christian faith and a Bible-centred, evangelical understanding of Christian life and discipleship.
The team behind House of Pillars comes from a range of Christian traditions, including Lutheran, Pentecostal and wider evangelical free-church backgrounds. This diversity has shaped our desire to serve local churches across traditions, denominations and national borders.
House of Pillars is not a church, a new denomination or the representative of any one Christian tradition. We create biblically grounded discipleship journeys, resources and concepts designed to support and strengthen the ministry of the local church.
We seek to serve churches that share our foundational Christian convictions while respecting their individual traditions, structures and expressions of church life. The theological and pastoral responsibility always remains with the leadership of each participating church.
Historic Christian. Bible-centred. Evangelical. Interdenominational. Rooted in the local church.

MERETE LAURSEN
Spiritual Lead · Woman of God
Merete Laursen has been part of church and congregational life throughout her life. Music has always held a central place in her faith and ministry, and over the years she has served the Church as a pianist, organist and singer.
Merete is married to a pastor, and together they have three children. The family lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As Spiritual Lead for Woman of God, Merete helps safeguard the biblical and spiritual foundation of the journey. Together with other women, she is building a healthy, intergenerational team able to support women across different ages and stages of life – from experienced and mature Christian women to younger women seeking faith, identity and direction.
Merete is passionate about seeing women grow in their relationship with God, discover their God-given identity and find their place within the Church and God’s calling.
TOFT
Mie works with transformation—not left to chance, but shaped intentionally through God’s grace and human craft.
With more than 15 years of experience in experience-driven projects and events, she designs strategic frameworks that move people beyond engagement into real change—rooted in a theologically conservative faith, where Scripture remains the foundation and transformation is facilitated through intentional structure, atmosphere, and prayer.
She holds a Master’s degree in Experience Economy and Politics and a diploma in Process Facilitation, and has worked with institutions such as the Danish Architecture Center, Building Smart and Institute without Boundaries (CA).
MIE
With a background in marketing and brand strategy, Toft now works at the intersection of faith, strategy, and innovation. His approach is rooted in spiritual architecture—the intentional design of frameworks, structures, and pathways that help churches build healthier cultures of discipleship, communication, and mission.
At the core of his philosophy is a simple conviction: the source must never change. The task is not to alter the message of the Bible, but to refine the frameworks through which it is communicated and embodied within modern society.
Toft develops strategic concepts, ministry systems, and creative resources designed to help the Church remain biblically rooted while becoming structurally relevant for a changing world.

THE CREATORS BEHIND WOMAN OF GOD
Mie and Toft co-created WOMAN OF GOD as part of House of Pillars. Toft also led the development of MAN OF GOD and wrote the book that carries its name.
